Current mood : - [annoyed]
Current music : Bad Romance - Lady Gaga

It is 3.15 in the morning and I just finished watching the episode of Gossip Girl titled 'Last Days of Disco Stick'.

See, lately Gossip Girl has been starting to annoy me. I'm getting so sick of Jenny wanting to rule Upper East Side. It's like the high school social clique thing getting amplified 5439868905 times. It's ridiculous! Another thing I'm getting sick of is Serena. She's so messed up, man. One moment she's in love with this guy, the next with another guy and there's always some problem along the way. I don't think it's humanly possible to fall in and out of 'love' as quickly as Serena van der Woodsen does.

And Blair's childishness sometimes can get pretty annoying. Chace Crawford's like a red herring in the show. -__-

But, oh God, Chuck Bass. *A* Chuck Bass is the reason why I keep coming back for more Gossip Girl. He's so awesome and so cool, and I absolutely love the way he talks and how he couldn't give a shit about who you are because he's fucking Chuck Bass. Hahah.

Damn it. I probably shouldn't be fangirling so late at night.

Anyway, as I was saying. Stupid episode. Completely pointless (as is most of Gossip Girl's episodes nowadays) but I watched it anyway cause Lady Gaga is guest starring. BUT. She was only in it for like...less than 5, nay 3 minutes of the show. And they didn't even play the full song! Bad Romance, I mean. BAH HUMBUG!

....

Okay, how about my day today? Just a short runthrough before I log off and go to sleep.

***

Actually, nothing much happened today. I watched a bit of Run Fatboy Run, then got distracted by something else on the computer. Went for my dentist appointment to tighten my braces and now it hurts like crazy. Good news is, I will be able to take it off by January next year! Yesh.

Oh, I took one of the best beef noodles I have ever tasted in my life for dinner tonight! It was so yummy and the beef was so tender, the soup was like heaven in a bowl and the noodles were springy and bouncy and soft at the same time!!!

T___T Just talking about it is making me hungry.

I think that's about all that's worth mentioning that happened to me today...

Before I forget though, I'm suddenly in my graphic-making mood which started yesterday. See, normally, I share my graphics through livejournal; to get feedback and also it makes me happy to see people appreciate the effort I put in because, honey, using PS on a laptop without a tablet and a mouse is crazy hard.

But I don't use LJ anymore and I wouldn't know what community to post it to nowadays anyway, so I was in a dilemma. Facebook isn't exactly suitable either because God knows I love my friends to bits but most of them just cannot appreciate the kind of effort that needs to put into making graphics.

So I got myself a Deviantart account (which you can check out here). Yup, just some random shizz, I mean, I'm not even particularly artistic. But I do love getting feedback and comments so if any of you guys reading this have a devArt account, go to my page and gallery and comment please. :D

In fact, while you're all on a comment leaving rampage, leave some in my cbox too, why dontcha? Hahah.

Okay, I better go to sleep now. It's already 3.30am. And I really am hungry.

NO WILL NOT EAT SO LATE AT NIGHT. Going to sleep means ignoring hunger pangs. Therefore, sleep = good.

Nights!

OMG Adam Lambert's songs from his debut album is streaming on Myspace right now!!!!!

(btw, that picture of Adam at the side, I didn't just randomly put it there, okay?? It's his Twitter page background, I swear. lol.)

I love most of the songs. But to me it sounds almost like he can't decide what genre he wants his album to be. I know he said it's gonna be a fusion of all the kinds of music he likes, but still. I generally like an album to be defined more than this.

Still, individually, the songs are amazing. I'M LOVIN' IT!

Can't wait to get his album!! And also I'm wanting Muse's The Resistance! And uhm, Lady Gaga's The Monster Fame.

*looks at wallet mournfully*

I'm gonna be broke this month. Sighs. The things I do.

BTW, a bit of trivia before I go. The song 'Strut' was written by Adam himself with Kara DioGuardi and someone else. The song 'Fever' was written by Lady Gaga. :D

But truth be told, those two songs were the few songs which I did not like immediately. Still. Adam is AWESOME. So I'll continue giving him the benefit of doubt. :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRANDOOOOOOOOOON! You're finally 16 now! Feel older? Need a walking stick yet? Got backaches? Eyesight unclear??

But even if you have all the above, you will still be AWESOME, rightttt?

I know you've had a tough couple of months, but dude, as a wise man once said (Barney Stinson):

"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story."

Yes. I'm sure your awesomeness can overcome anything. Prove me right!! xD

Anyway, congrats on surviving yet another 365 days and may you survive the next 365 days! You've been an awesome friend to me and I think to everyone else as well, and for that I really appreciate you! :D

P.S: I still wanna hear you do 'El Cheapo'!

Oh and Brandon? Get the hell outta my head!!!! :P

A couple of random pictures before I talk about my day today. :D

New earrings! I bought it from Diva the other day when Yung and I were shopping for Nat's present. =P Nat probably already knows what it is, she's been ranting about it for a while now.

My dinner last night! I swear that every single thing on that plate was cooked by me! Granted, the seaweed is from the packet and I just had to put the bacon into the oven, but I totally fried the egg and the carrots and the pratha (is that how you spell it?)!!

With my extremely basic cooking skills, might I add? I feel so proud of myself. Hahah! In case you were wondering why I had to make my own dinner is because my mum was out the entire day and I forgot to eat lunch. So I was quite hungry for dinner thus decided to make something more lavish for myself than a bowl of cereals or something. I swear, my meals are all upside down! People normally take cereals for breakfast, I take cereals for dinner.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Today woke up at 8.30am. I slept almost 7 hours of sleep which is good for me. But by the time we left the house it was already 9.10am! D8 Women take longer time to get prepared; it's a proven fact.

Reached school around 9.30am? Painted like one line, haha. Hey, I'm not gonna get paint on any part of me, okay? Stupid fake nails cost me rm5. But don't wanna waste so might as well just use it.

10am went for the debate workshop. Since this if the first workshop it was more towards getting over your fear of speaking publicly and getting your pronounciations right.

Shit la, I get stage fright and I bombed when it was my turn. T___T

My topic was 'Friends' by the way, which you think would be easy but I srsly couldnt think of anything to talk about 'Friends' without getting too personal. So...yeah. =/

After the whole thing was over, Muqri, ZZ and I walked to Yung's house to get some stuff from her. Then since the mamak is quite near her place, we decided to go to the mamak to bungkus our lunch. All three of us ordered Maggi goreng. Which cost RM4, wtf damn expensive!

ZZ damn funny, when we asked him if he wanted to cancel the order cause it's too expensive, he was like thinking for a bit, then he went, "I can't think right now." ROFLLL.

Then finally went to Muqri's house. He transferred some shows for me, some music and a LOT of pictures. Hahah. Was planning to watch Zombieland but he deleted it!! NOOOOO!

Anyway, my mum was already here to pick me up. T___T Cause I was like so excited to show Torchwood season 3 to ZZ. lol. I'm always so excited to get people to watch the shows I watch cause I can talk to them about it. ROFL.

... Sometimes I think I talk too much. =/

Okay, now I wanna go watch Run Fatboy Run! Simon Pegg is GENIUS.

BYEEEEE! :D

EDIT;;;

I changed my mind about watching Run Fatboy Run. Instead I'm watching Muse's H.A.A.R.P. tour DVD. @___@ Muse is mindblowing live. I regret not going for their concert when they came here. *cries*

Just finished watching Being Human, a British telly show.

(Hahah, I think that's starting to become like a trademark introduction of my blog posts. Just finished [insert action here])

You know, I honestly don't know why British telly shows aren't as popular as all those American shows. I mean, let's face it, Hollywood tends to recycle and reuse ideas. First comes E.R, then comes Grey's Anatomy, then comes Royal Pains? What's up with that? Granted, they're not necessarily the same show, but if you step back and look at the bigger picture, are they not similar? Hospitals, medics, doctors, drama, drama, drama.

(Note I did not mention House. That's because House is awesome, unlike all previously mentioned telly shows)

So anyway. Back to Being Human.

Being Human Pictures, Images and Photos
L to R: Mitchell (vampire), George (werewolf) and Annie (ghost)

Heard about it a couple of months back but didn't really get around to watching it till recently when Muqri reminded me of it. Apparently, it's being shown on BBC America now, or something like that. I read somewhere someone saying something along the lines of, "It's a story about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost? How cliche?!"

Okay, while it is about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost (not necessarily in that order), it is most definitely not cliched.

How many shows can you name that has all three of previously mentioned mythical/supernatural creatures on it? I've seen many shows/read many books where the vampires are always at war with the lycanthropes, but I've never seen a ghost thrown into the mix before.

Heck, the werewolf and the vampire in the story aren't even at war with each other! In fact, they're housemates and they're very close friends. Although generally speaking, vampires aren't supposed to like werewolves.

Like I said. They're different.

The vampire, werewolf and ghost living under the same roof, all trying to cling on to the last vestiges of their humanity. Sound familiar, yes? But it's tackled in a rather different way in this show. And I love to see how they're so close to each other, almost like a family, and how the house is like their one safe sanctuary. Well, most of the time at least.

Mitchell, the vampire. Trying to staunch his thirst for blood, trying to be...human. He is very good friends with the werewolf, George and later became very close friends with the ghost, Annie too. Slightly more outgoing than George but his moodswings are like super severe. One moment he can lock himself up in his room for days on end without talking; the next he's inviting the neighbours over and talking about Vin Diesel. True story.

George, the werewolf. Still in denial of his 'condition'. He refers to the werewolf as a separate entity, often calling it, "the monthly thing I get" or "it". Has a pretty high IQ, is fluent in many languages, but is super shy and pretty much socially-inept. He also stutters sometimes, which makes him kinda endearing and annoying at the same time. He's highly convinced that he's gonna end up killing someone and is deathly afraid of it, often referring to themselves as monsters who are unfit to try to live as humans.

Annie, the ghost. She died in the house that George and Mitchell moved into and became fast friends with them. Nobody else can see her except for other supernatural beings. Like George and Mitchell. There's really not much to tell about her without ruining the story, really. Although her wussiness pissed me off to no ends in Episode 5. And her sudden bravado in Episode 6 made me go, "NOW WHY DIDN'T SHE DO THAT IN THE LAST EPISODE???"

So far only Season 1 is out and there's only 6 episodes in Season 1.

All in all, I give it a 8/10. A bit unrealistic at certain parts, teensy bits and pieces of plotholes here and there, but it was enjoyable and it was certainly unpredictable. Well, not for me cause I read the synopsis at Wikipedia. But DON'T READ IT! It's definitely much more worth it if you didn't read it. T____T

Also, the guy acting as Mitchell is HAWT. So that probably earned them like an extra star. hahahaha.

Season 2, I think it's being released early next year?? Can't wait to see how this continues. :)

P.S: Speaking of new seasons, Torchwood has been green-lighted for a new season! Season 4, yessssh! Apparently shooting is scheduled to start early next year? OMFG, so loooooong to wait. I think it's because John Barrowman's schedule is busy with La Cage aux Folles till January, if I'm not mistaken. RAWR, curse you, busy schedules!!!

P.S.S: Referring to my current mood, I'm not disappointed in the show, I'm disappointed that it's over. :( Never mind, now I can finish watching, well, everything else. Milk, Jennifer's Body, Orphan, The Taking of Pelham 123. And that episode of V that Muqri keeps bugging me to watch.

Okay, got to go sleep. There's a debate workshop tomorrow at 10am which I intend to attend. :D

Kenny and I saw that poster outside the cinema while buying popcorn. We were wondering how a monk fits into the whole Apocalypse scene. Then after that, throughout the entire movie, whenever we saw a monk anywhere near a mountain, we went, "HEY LOOK, MONK!" Or well, I did that. lol.

Of course, what a lot of people assumed about 2012 was that when they say "WE WERE WARNED," they mean "THE UNITED STATES WERE WARNED."

Case in point:
*in the car, fetching Yung and Mook back*
Mum : So how was the movie?
Me : It was good. They destroyed the world.
Mum : Oh, I thought normally when they say destroy the world, they mean the US.
Me : No, this time when they destroy the world, they actually destroyed the world.
Yung&Mook : LOL.

***SPOILER ALERT***
***you were warned*** (yes, pun intended)

India, Japan, Italy, France, China, US, UK, Brazil, Nepal. All destroyed. (Note that I'm only saying Nepal because that's where the Himalayas are located. Look, when you watch the movie, you'll understand, okay?)

Except apparently, Africa. Don't ask.

They showed Eiffel Tower being destroyed. The White House. Vatican City. A little temple in the mountains of Tibet (which btw, was one of my favourite scenes of the movie. Not because I have anything against Tibetans or Buddhism. But there was like a moment of quiet, peace and serenity before the tsunami came and destroyed it. I liked that part. It was really good). Hawaii. Tokyo.

Apparently they showed Malaysia very briefly on the map. Hahah. According to Kenny la.

Lately I noticed there have been a lot of shows and movies that involves something that will literally end the world. Like, the world, not just US.

I mean, yeah I know there's always that villain who wants to rule the world or destroy the world or something. But lately, it's been brought up to a whole new level, if you get what I mean. It no longer just shows someone wanting to rule/destroy the world.

I think movies that can take the old and tired end-of-the-world theme and make it good, make it human; I think that's the best.

Like in 2012, you see the whole do-we-save-ourselves-or-our-humanity debate. There's even a nice little speech by Dr. Adrian Helmsler about the whole thing nearing the end of the movie. Throughout the entire movie I wanted to hit the other dude, Mr. Anheuser. Then again, they gotta have the dude who stands by humanity (Adrian) and the dude who stands by his own skin (and to be fair, everyone else's; at least those that can afford it. pfft) who in this case is Mr. Anheuser.

I also found it funny to see the Queen Of England saving her dogs. Hahah. How come she didn't save her horses? I thought she loved her horses? I vaguely remember watching a documentary of some sort on that before.

Anyway, I absolutely loved John Cusack in High Fidelity, a movie I highly recommend, so I was hoping he'd be good in this movie too. He wasn't as good as he was in High Fidelity, but he was still pretty good. :D

All in all, I highly recommend this movie la. But take my advice, buy your tickets way way way earlier. And don't drink so much liquid before and during the show. It's a 2 hour 40 minutes show (almost as long as POTC3) and you do not want to miss a second of it.

P.S: That blonde Russian pilot/bodyguard dude was super hot. I was telling Muqri that, then we realized his name is Sasha in the movie and Muqri went, "His name is SASHA? Like Sasha Fierce?" So I told him, "No, like Sasha Baron Cohen." -_____-

P.S.S : I just realized the last four digits on Eric's phone number is 2012. Hahah, randomness.

♥ 2012!

EDIT;;;
I just found out that if you type "two of spades is the biggest" into Google, my blog is the ONLY search result. I swear.

Just came back from Sunway Pyramid after watching 2012.

2012 = AWESOMEPIE. I'd elaborate more on it, because it was one of the best disaster movies I've ever seen (although to be frank, I haven't watched many), but I'm having a massive headache right now. And I think I really need to get some sleep.

Anyway, a short summary of my entire day:

Shopped with Yung while waiting for the others to come, bought her a book for her birthday. My God, that girl is so picky with her books! She doesn't read fantasy, she doesn't like Dan Brown, she doesn't like Nick Hornby, she doesn't like Chuck Palahniuk, she didn't want 'Tuesdays With Morrie' cause she said she can borrow it from someone.... I swear we were in there for near an hour, just browsing for books.

Met up with Kenny, Phanit and Muqri. Phaik Yan came over to pass us the movie tickets. :( She couldn't join us though cause she's working.

Went over to Topman for a bit cause Phanit wanted us to decide on a bright pink shirt he wanted. O.o I just realized Phanit is a very vibrant colour guy.

Then Subway for lunch. I ordered meatball marinara and shared with Yung.

Ajay went, "Can I have a bite of your balls??" I LOL-ed like crazy!!!! Then he continued, "I'll trade you with a bite of my bird?" Cause he ordered Chicken Teriyaki. Hahahahaha.

Met up with the others then went to the cinema. Watched the movie. After movie (which lasted about 2 hours and 40 minutes, btw, which was so long it made my butt painful just from sitting down) we attempted to find the P1 W1MAX store to find Yew Ming who's working there.

Couldn't find it, so we went to Padini Concept Store instead to find Sarah and Phaik Yan. Hung around for a bit. Gave Phanit opinions on a green three quarter pants he wanted to buy. See what I mean about Phanit liking vibrant colours??

Walked around a bit after that. We split up from Na and Ajay, who apparently went to Starbucks for coffee. Yung and Muqri and I walked around some more. I wanted to go to Starbucks to get some chocolate cream chip without knowing that Na and Ajay were there. But Muqri wanted to go to Krispy Kreme so we went there instead. Na and Ajay met up with us at Krispy Kreme.

Then I had to leave. There are some interesting things that happened but I cant remember them right now on account of the massive headache. Which I was surviving through while typing this, btw, so you better be grateful!!!

Hahah.

Actually, I'm watching a Gossip Girl episode right now. The latest one where they had that almost-threesome with Dan and Olivia and Vanessa? OH MY GOD, my childhood memories cannot take the sight of Hilary Duff in a threesome. O.O

Speaking of threesomes, I remember telling Yung about this new nail buffer I just bought which is a 4-way instead of the normal threeway nail buffer. And everybody burst out laughing then I realized what I said. HAHA.

Okay, srsly, I'm gonna go to bed now. Killer headache remember?

Current mood : [sleepy]
Current music : Colorado Sunshine - 3OH!3

I couldn't go for Project A.I.D (Appreciating Interact Day) today because of a transport problem :(

I'm damn sad okay?! Been looking forward to this since I wrote the first permission letter for it two weeks back! It took me a while to remember how to say volleyball court in Malay. LOLWTF after exams, suddenly I'm rusty with my Malay already. Hahah.

Since I didn't go and I heard it's a lot of fun, I'm gonna blog about painting the school yellow carpark lines day 3. Maybe that will cheer me up! (Although to be absolutely honest, making a few Tyson Ritter icons earlier today has already cheered me up tremendously. :D)

So Kenny turned up for the painting project. IN HIS WHITE SCHOOL UNIFORM. He claims he didn't know about it, but I think it's just an excuse for him to show up and NOT have to do any work on account of his white shirt.

Since he wasn't doing any work, I told him to take good good care of pink geelato! because I have to paint the lines.

He asked if he could go trigger happy, so I said yes. I didn't think he'd go this happy. So many pictures, most of them completely pointless, so I'm only gonna upload a few. :D

Phaiky and I painting the T-shaped line at the end of the carpark. So pro, can stand up and paint!

Yung working (and no she's not just posing for the camera)! And Shermun is so smart, he wears a watch to paint. -___-

Sher Mun doing god knows what. Na and I were actually talking about it on FB. Na says maybe he's making sure the line is painted straight. But that's the old line he's looking at! Na also said maybe he's admiring his own pecs. Or maybe he was executing some dance shuffle move.

With the, uh, wet paintbrush while wearing a limited edition WHITE colour 'I ♥ SU' shirt? Uhmmm, that would be pretty stupid of him.

Srsly, Sher Mun is the vainest guy I know. And I know Phanit! (That is, if it is certain that Phanit's a guy. Hahah) Halfway through discussing the plans for the Eagle Ranch trip, when he saw me taking pictures, he was like, "EHHH, I wanna take also!" -___-

Speaking of Eagle Ranch trip, this was how he started off his presentation,

*in a very voice over-ish voice*
"Have you dreamed of going to... *asks me* Where's Eagle Ranch arh? .... Oh, Port Dickson? Have you ever wanted to experience the wonders of Po- Hey, that's my bottle!"

*face palms* EPIC PHAIL.

Yung and I! After the painting was over and we were waiting for our free food to come. Can you notice that Yung straightened her hair again? I personally prefer her with more natural hair though. Although I would like to see her with curls!! Hahah!

Actually later in the day, Kenny actually picks up a brush to paint!! *gasp* Call the press, Kenny is actually DOING WORK. Painting nonetheless!

Coming from the guy who claims he can't even draw a straight line! Also the same guy whom whenever we play taboo and we get the word LAZY, we just have to say his name to get the guess right. No kidding. I even had two extra free tickets to the AAR concert and I asked if he wanted them and his excuse for not wanting them? "LAZY LARH."

I srsly pity his girlfriend next time. Hahah.

Okay, it's 11.30pm. I'm gonna try to sleep early today cause tomorrow I'm going shopping with Yung and later watching 2012 with Na, Sher Mun, Eric and the others. Phaik Phaik and Sarah and Ming Chai couldn't make it cause of their work. :(

Never fear, we shall come to your workplace to harass visit you!

Speaking of jobs, Vice Ming has one of the plushest job a 16-year-old can get at a shopping mall. O.O He's getting paid RM1500 a month just to promote P1 W1MAX. WTF, I also want!

(And I'm a girl, so there won't be any crude jokes about whether "Have you cut oredi?")

Okay, good night!

P.S: Was watching Milk halfway then my mum wanted my external harddrive to watch Legend of the Seeker. Unfortunately, all my videos are in my external, so yeah. =/

I went to watch the trailer instead and the trailer is so inspiring! It was also kinda sad because Harvey Milk is doing all these great things political-wise, that pretty much everything else in his life was set aside for him to achieve all those great things he achieved, and you know that it's going to end in his assassination. It's like so WTF. But then again, look what happened to Gandhi.

See, this is why I normally try not to watch movies that are based on true stories. Because you already know what's going to happen and I'll spend the next 2 hours or so either feeling so bad for the characters and dreading the end, or shouting at the telly to change the ending by the time we reach it.

Srsly, the story of Harvey Milk is a story everyone should know. If you can't watch the movie (seeing as how it'll never be released here in Malaysia), then at least watch the trailer on Youtube or something. I shall now end this post with this:

"You gotta give 'em hope." - Harvey Milk

I finally rewatched Brokeback Mountain yesterday.

.
.
.

I feel like smacking 13-year-old me in the head for ever saying that it was not a good movie! Heath Ledger was amazing! Heath Ledger was the heart of the movie! Heath Ledger was the soul of the movie! Heath Ledger was the entire fakking movie!

His performance on that show blew my mind away; he really absorbed me into his story, his conflicts, his emotions... Just wow.

And not just on this movie, but in The Dark Knight too. He wasn't just acting as The Joker, he was the Joker to a certain extent. And that was what's so chilling about TDK. Because the movie was released posthumously, of course everyone paid special attention to The Joker because it was Heath Ledger.

But not even halfway through the show, people paid attention to The Joker because it was The Joker. I think it scared people to think that a person with the intellect to plan things to such details, who is able to manipulate people, who committed crimes so horrible, seemed to have no guilty conscience whatsoever. In fact, he seemed to enjoy it. Genuinely.

Back to Brokeback Mountain though. I don't know what to say about it other than it was so moving and so tragic and so devastating at the ending that I spent quite a while shouting at my computer to magically conjure up an alternate ending. :(

That last few scenes, where they were arguing, and when Ennis (Heath Ledger) went up to Jack's (Jake Gyllenhael; did I spell his name correctly??) childhood room to find the shirt he thought he lost, and also at the very ending with the wardrobe and postcard scene.

It didn't do much for me, waterworks-wise, but it was so...heartbreaking.

And it's not like both of them being guys had anything to do with anything; it was just... to lose someone you love when you've lost every other opportunity to be with that person... it just seems like life is playing such a cruel trick, you know? It's such a universal thing and it just makes me so sad.

What's worse is that, while watching this show, I felt a constant urge to yell at the Heath Ledger in my computer; to tell him, warn him, of what was going to happen to him in 2008. :(

I was just talking to Muqri about Heath Ledger. And I was saying that it's such a waste that the world is losing people with such great talent so quickly these days. They flare up into the biggest flame then die off just as quickly.

And it's unfair.

Not just to them, but to the world. We are living in a time where new singers, actors, dancers, etc are popping up a dime a dozen with mediocre talent or even just relatively good talent. But where are the people with great talent? Talent that's impossible to miss and unbearable to forget?

They're an elite number that's getting smaller and smaller every. single. year.

Muqri said something along the lines of, "Fuck Hollywood for messing up their minds!"

I ttly agree. These people with great talents, they are just humans. Like you and me. Like the rest of the world.

And sometimes, they along with the rest of the world can get a little too greedy for anyone's good.

Look where they end up?

It's not often these days that I blog about my opinions. I find it too cumbersome and perhaps slightly too serious. I've always stood by the adage that life is too short for [insert something here]. Be it, 'to be too nice to people', 'to give a damn about what other people think of you', 'to try to preserve a beauty that will fade away anyway' and of course, 'to be so goddamn serious about everything.' I've always tried to avoid serious, mind-picking topics on my blog, but after watching Heath Ledger give a stunning performance, I just couldn't keep quiet about this.

It's such a pity to lose people like him and Michael Jackson and so on. It makes me so sad to think of all the great movies or songs or dances that they'll never be able to give to the world again. It also makes me angry that at the wake of these great people's deaths, the world has to pounce on the news like hungry vultures and start speculating and gossiping and etc.

Don't you people understand? The loss of their lives is not just a loss to their loved ones and to a certain degree, their fans (I'm referring to people in the entertainment business, therefore assuming they have a fanbase) but it is a loss to the entire world, a loss that should be felt and should resonate.

So give the world a moment of grace and silence to mourn their loss, no, our loss.

Okay, so I'm in my mum's office now and I just uploaded the pictures of my phone AND my mum's phone onto the computer. Now see the awesomeness of my new phone! (and to a lesser degree, the awesomeness of my mum's new phone. Yes, I am biased, so sue me)

Meet pink geelato! and Ice Ice Baby. :D

In case you haven't figured it out yet, pink geelato! is mine and Ice Ice Baby is my mum's.

Even though it's not mine, I still love Ice Ice Baby because of its white QWERTY keypad.
I'm not a big fan of Nokia designs, but this is very nice.

But I remain faithful to pink geelato! Because it is just the whole package, ya know? xD

PHONE KISS! Nadia wasn't very amused when I made pink geelato! kiss her Christmas coloured phone. She gave me The Look™.

Awesome possum phones make me happy. ;]

But then again so would a good book. I'm relatively easy to please. Hahah.

OMGWTFBBQ, I dropped pink geelato! today in school! Luckily it was on tiled floor so no scratches or dents or anything. Except for a tiny mark on the screen but that's okay, because I've got a screen protector! The only thing is that it's really annoying to see a mark on the screen. Grrr.

Got more pictures on pink geelato! from Day #3 of painting the yellow carpark lines but it's USB cable is at home so I'll only upload it later tonight, I guess.

It seems it has completely slipped my mind to tell you guys this.

.
.
.

I bought myself a new phone! YESH!

And I finally decided on getting the pink W705. Although I had to fork out extra RM100 because apparently W705 in pink is a limited edition. T____T

But that's okay, because everytime I look at it, I fall in love with it more and more! With every new thing I learn about it, I love it more! :D And I'm not even a pink person. In fact, I'm quite the opposite... Or at least, I used to be. Hahah.

I was actually telling Zhiying about my new phone then I whipped it out to show him the awesomeness of my pink phone and he frowns at me, goes, "You've changed," and walks away. LOOOOOLOLOLOL. Left Na and I LOL-ing.

I'll post new pictures of it some other day because I actually took pictures of it with my new camera (also bought on the same day as my phone. Haha) but my mum took that camera and left it in the office, wtf.

In the meantime, I skipped Interact Painting Day 1 to go buy my phone and I hear Zhiying was quite pissed that I didn't show up. So like the trusty secretary I like to think I am, I showed up today.

Generally, it was quite fun.

One of my favourite moments was when Phaik Yan threw her brush to the ground, shrieked and ran off when she saw a butterfly flying around the trees near the carpark. Like, she srsly ran away. And refused to come back till the butterfly flew away.

I mean, I'm scared of cockroaches but I won't run away screaming like that. Okay, I might shriek and jump away, but you know. I won't...run all the way to the canteen. -____-

And now, to kill two birds with one stone, here are some pictures! Which I took using my new PINK phone (which looks so yummylicious I'mma start calling it pink geelato! :D) so you can see the picture quality of it. 8D

Na and I painting the yellow lines for the carpark.

Nat and I pretending to be painting the yellow carpark lines. Phaik Phaik acting cute and Na acting...well, Nadia-ish, as usual.

Us being dorks. And not painting the yellow carpark lines. XD

I'll tell you a secret, Yuvan is holding the Nimbus 2000!!!
L to R, top row: Melanie, Shamenee, Lisa and Yuvan.
L to R, middle row: Nadia, Jasmine, Sara and Eniza.
The weird girl at the bottom steps....I don't know her. XD

.
.
.

Oh okay fine, it's Nat. :P

The traditional shoes shot! Albeit much less shoes than normal with a slight twist. 8D
Nat break the chain by wearing slippers, wtf!

We got free food for painting the yellow carpark lines under the hot hot sun! We live in Malaysia okay?! Nadia is surprised by this revelation.

Why is Nat grinning like that at the camera? I don't know why but Ellysha looks scared so I think she has a rough idea.......lol.

Alright, that's about it for today. There are more photos but they are with the others and they haven't uploaded it yet. WAH, first time I upload something faster than everyone else! So proud!

*bangga*

Okay, I got to go now. Day 3 of Interact painting tomorrow! Gotta wake up early early again! And yet again, it's already 1am. I seem to be incapable of going to sleep earlier than 1am these days. Whyyyyyy??

I seem to be infamous for my odd sleeping habits and lack of sleep. I don't think I want that to be my defining personality. Like you know when people go, "Oh Geraldine? She's that nocturnal girl, right? I hear she doesn't sleep at all during exams period to study. @___@"

I don't want that okay?! And also, I've never pulled an all-nighter before. The least amount of sleep I've ever gone on was 2 hours a day and 6 hours for two days. ACCKKK.

Yeah, that's why my current mood says I'm rushed. :D

KTHXBAI
and GOODNIGHTWORLD.

I promised to blog about KLPac. But Phaik Yan hasn't uploaded the pictures yet! Neither has Yung! And I used their cameras the most!

My mum forgot to bring back the camera charger from her office okay, so my camera was dead and my phone was, you know, STOLEN almost two weeks ago now. So I couldn't take ANY pictures and had to use their cameras.

BTW, have I mentioned I am in love with Fake Yan's camera? (Na was right, there's no end to the ridiculous nicknames you can give Phaik Yan. @___@ Then again, over the years, she has also come up with a lot of nicknames for me and well, everyone else.)

Faster upload the pictures, guys! And tag me on Facebook! lol

At any rate, just to keep you guys occupied, in case you haven't already seen these floating around Facebook or on Sarah's blog....some scenery pictures. Honestly, KLPac is a beautiful place, landscape- and architectural-wise. The art they have are also pretty cool. :D

I didn't think a place like this existed in Malaysia, to tell you the truth.

So cool! The spoons were hung on the brick wall. Like, raw brick wall. Saves on cost and maintenance AND it looks nice in an artsy fartsy way. xD

The gardens. Look at that metal thing. It looks like some cage of some sort but it's actually a chair! Like, a sofa! With removable metal cushions! @___@ It'd be damn painful to have a pillow fight with those...

Look at those brick walls. They've been there longer than any of us. Way before the World Wars. And they're still standing now. Heck they even actually look gorgeous amongst the other landscaping.

Sentul Park! That's where KLPac is located. The pond has fishes, tortoises and ducks! :D

Again with the brick walls. :D It's really quite lovely.

Another part of the garden! I think this is one of the most well-tended and well-planned landscapes I've ever seen in real life.

I love this picture! Hahah! It is probably because Muqri is in it. <3

The old train station which is not used anymore as a train station. It's just another part of the KLPac building now.

The main lobby of the building. They have all these banners of their staff holding up signs introducing themselves and a short phrase describing what they contribute to KLPac and then at the bottom it says, "I'm [insert name here] and I'm NOT a KLPac virgin!"

Needless to say, Na and me were laughing our heads off at it. We even took a picture with it! But that picture is not uploaded yet. =/

Inside Pentas 1 a.k.a Pentas YTL. Fits up to 500 people and look at how colourful the seats are! And they're not just colourful, they're uber comfortable!

If you take a closer look at those circles (click for a bigger picture) you'll see that each circle is an imprint of a body part. Super cool, srsly.

And last but definitely not least, is this display at the lobby! It's so cute! Piggies! The funniest part was when Zhi Zhiang went, "What does N-ZO Tech stands for?" (or smth like that, I can't rmbr exactly what he said) referring to the letters on the sign. And I took a look at it and went, "It says 17 - 20 Dec."

.
.
.

LOL.

The building which KLPac was built upon is very historical and the building as we see it now is actually built upon and incorporated into old buildings from before the World Wars.

That's like 100 over years. Still standing. And very well maintained, I might add.

Makes me think about Malacca. I miss going back. I can probably count the number of times I've been back this year on one hand. :( Heck, I even miss going to Jonker Street at night, if I was feeling particularly sadistic and wanted to spend my Saturday night squeezing my way through crowds who may or may not be sweaty depending on the weather.

I miss the old shop. I miss gaming with my uncle on his uber cool computer. I miss chatting my face off without interruptions with my aunt. I miss the Malaccan life. Sighs.

Rustic is not the perfect word, but it's the first word that comes to mind.

P.S : Phaik Yan says she's uploading the pictures now, hopefully she can get it done by tomorrow. :D

I watched the official music video for 'Bad Romance' at 2am. You know, Lady Gaga's new song? Already #9 on the Billboard Hot 100?

I wouldn't ordinarily know all these, except the other day I opened the newspapers for the first time in a long long time. Also, Ajay told me.

Anyway. It just came out today. Like maybe 2 or 3 hours ago. Been anticipating it for a while now. And I think I watched it earlier than Ajay! In fact, it's so 'newly released', that it's not even on Youtube.com yet.

.
.
.

Wait, I take that back. I just Googled it and YES IT WAS JUST UPLOADED ONTO YOUTUBE.COM about half an hour ago. Here it is:

I suggest you watch it on Youtube itself, because Youtube is suddenly into widescreening their videos. Although it can be slightly annoying at times, it does come in handy because you can view larger videos, lol. (Also, I am srsly loving YoutubeHD. VIDEONIRVANA)

(BTW, in case you were wondering, I watched it via PerezTV. Yes, Perez Hilton. Do not judge me, I was desperate to watch the video, okay, and that was the first place I found it on)

Anyway, back to the video. I loved the entire video generally, but I don't quite like the beginning, where she comes out of the coffin thing? With her...zombie henchmen? It looked like a Thriller tribute actually, which is not a bad thing, but...I don't know, I just didn't like the way it was executed.

Also, I have nothing against Lady Gaga's fashion, in fact sometimes I think they're pretty cool albeit always ridiculous, lol, BUT that all white, leather-y, body hugging outfit she climbed out of the coffin with IS. NOT. FLATTERING.

AT. ALL.

Why would anyone wanna be buried in that outfit, I have no idea. But actually on second thought, it makes perfect sense. I'd climb out of my coffin demanding a new outfit to be buried in too, if I was buried in that particular outfit.

But that aside, I loved the rest of the video! Especially that part with her wearing that diamond top thing, dancing in front of those guys, with those interruptions of her in a sort of half-cage thing? Love it.

I also loved the fire at the end. @___@ I loved the ending, with the charred skeleton and her on the bed. That is so coooooool.

Alrights, I think I better go now, it's 3am already and I have to wake up at 6.30am to go to school, not to study but get this, to paint the lines in the school carpark. You know, those lines to guide drivers where to park their cars?

Yeah, those lines. LOL. Anyway, yeah, and I told my mum I'm going to sleep at 12am. Ack, missed by 3 hours. So yeah. Goodnights!

P.S : Will blog about my KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) trip when I get the pictures from...well, everyone. Especially Phaik Phaik! I think I've fallen in love with her camera!

Current music : I See You - Mika

Yesterday was mostly a good day for me.

The night before thatvI went to sleep with a troubled mind - not because of the fact that I will be facing my Accounts exams in less than 10 hours - but because I thought I've short circuited my laptop! I swear to God, I was freaked out, cause my laptop just turned off by itself AND IT WOULDN'T TURN BACK ON.

I was so worried, in fact, that I went to my bed at 12am and only managed to fall asleep at 1am, only to wake up at 4am, to try to turn it on, AND IT STILL WOULDN'T causing me to worry and not able to fall asleep. When I finally did fall asleep again, I had to wake up at 7am. *devastated*

Then I realized it was because the battery was dead. -___-

I swear to God, I could just kick myself. If that was anatomically possible, that is.

Anyway, woke up at 7am, study study Accounts a bit more then off I went for Accounts Paper 2. ANNNNDDDD, I could balance EVERYTHING. I was almost deliriously happy. LOL. Because I asked around and like, so far I only know of Ping, Kenny and I who managed to balance everything.

After Accounts, went to my uncle place, even managed to watch a little bit of True Blood. *Q* Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman is sooooo HAWT. He is perfect as a vampire!

Went to Subang Parade for lunch at Esquire Kitchen; I wanted to go to Nando's cause Huong Yi and I think Jeremy is working part time there. But I lost my phone and along with it, their numbers, so I couldnt call/text them to ask if they were working that day. :(

Went window shopping for phones! And therein lies my dilemma. I saw C903 which is like teh most epic Cybershot phone to date. I was messing around with the model on the counter and everything, then the salesgirl introduced me to W705. And. I. WAS. BLOWN. AWAY.

Well, not exactly la. I'm still contemplating between them too. The real clincher for me for W705 is that it comes in PINK. I mean, I'm not a big fan of pink, normally, but dude, when you see that pink, you will fall in love with it. Anytime you walk past a phone shop, ask for it. Just look see, look see.

The design for that is amazing. Everytime I look at it, I wanna cry with joy and desire.

But practically, the C903 has a pretty decent design too. And it's camera functions are AH-MA-ZHING. On the other hand, W705 has WIFI function, but C903 doesn't...

Oh, this is all really confusing! And they're both same price, so now I can't choose! I'm at a stalemate. :(

Anyyyyway, went for dessert at Dessert's Bar! YESH, I ordered Brownies with Vanilla Ice-cream. A bit too sweet for me, so I swapped with my mum for her Oreo Cheese Parfait which is like a little piece of heaven in a glass. Every bite is like ...*cue Gregorian chant*

Oreo Cheese Parfait. *licks lips*

Then went home, all tired, I didn't even get a chance to study Accounts for paper 1, the objective part. =/

Today! Also a relatively good day.

There was the debate, about whether corporal punishment is justifiable or not. (Corporal Punishment! *salutes*) I was watching the debate between Ajay's team and Tzer Wern's team and as much as I wanted to support Ajay's team - I want to support his team, I so desperately really do but, I find myself.....not agreeing with the Government (Ajay was the Opposition) exactly, but definitely I felt myself losing confidence with Ajay's team. Presentation was Not Good (TM).

So in the end, they lost, unfortunately. Actually, the whole thing got a bit personal for me, what with Selva and Laavanya almost arguing at the end, and I noticed Laavanya was kind of like rolling her eyes and stuff like that. I don't know, it feels childish to me. I can honestly say I haven't rolled my eyes in quite a while.

But it's only because they hurt when I do so! I have sensitive eyes, okay?!

I can't really remember what I did for the rest of the day in school. Just meandered around the school, played a couple rounds of Snatch/Steal, played a couple of rounds of Cho Dai Di. Srsly, days like these are starting to blur into each other.

BUT. One interesting thing. Ping and I were walking down the stairs near the staffroom and we saw Mrs. Pan, our Accounts teacher heading into the teacher's toilet. So Ping and I, being lovely considerate students, went all, "HI TEACHER! HOW'S OUR RESULTS??"

She gave us the thumbs up. :D (wait, got story some more one)

Then later, Ping and I were hungry so we headed towards the canteen (Ping was all worried that a teacher might catch us, cause we're not supposed to go canteen when it's NOT recess time) and we saw our teacher again in a rather empty classroom!

We literally ran in, and bombarded her with questions about our results.... I ish happy! :D

But still, Paper 1 was tonight, and I haven't really studied for it yet. AND my mum was late today to pick me up from school. I waited nearly one hour! It was 2 when I finally left the school.

I can sleep some more, you know! LOL. Just half an hour, but I still slept. Ping said she slept 3 hours, but that girl gave up debate to study for Accounts so no contest there.

I probably studied about 2 hours or so? LOL, then I had to prepare to go take that paper.

Reached there early, managed to ask teacher some questions. Even helped Kenny and Ping with some questions also. Super karma, man, some of the questions I helped them with came out in the exam.

I finished the paper in about half an hour or so. Rechecking my paper took me another 15 minutes. Rechecking it ANOTHER time took me 5. I was so damn anxious to get it over with man.

Then FINALLY FINALLY, teacher gave the answers for the objective paper.

.
.
.
.
.
.

OMG, I got 39/40 for Objective!!!!!

Not impressive enough? Well get this.

.
.
.
.
.
.

I got 79.5/80 for Paper 2. Beat that, bitches!

Oh wait, Ping did beat that. By 0.5 mark. She got 80/80 for her paper 2. It's so unfair, I lost 0.5 mark because I wrote 'bagi tahun berakhir 31 Disember 2008' instead of 'pada 31 Disember 2008' for the title. T____T

But that's okay because the total of those two results are.....

.
.
.
.
.
wait for it.....
.
.
.
.
.
NINE.....
.
.
.
.
.
......
.
.
.
.
.
.

NINETY-NINE percent, biatch! That's 99% to you, thank you very much. AHAHAHAHA

Oh I am so deliriously happy right now, I can barely believe it. I am, like, on cloud nine. Nothing can bring me down right now. :D

Actually Ping for 99 also. Hahah, I love the rounding up system. With no decimal points. LOOOOL.

Okay, it's already 1am here. Have to wake up earlier than normal tomorrow (or today, depending on how you wanna look at him) cause Ping wants me to help her to book places on the bus to KL Performing Arts Center? Something like that at least. I just do what Ping tells me to, she's like my very own PDA. Hahah. Well, she used to be more efficient (*wiggles eyebrows*) , till we got into different classes. *scowls*

Also, I just took some anti-hestamine pills just now cause of my sinuses. It's making me super drowsy. Imma just go to sleep now. Forced myself to stay awake for that update, haha. Goodnightworld!

P.S : Nadia, my awesome friend has recently relocated and revamped her blog (with a little help from Gee-spot, the escort. Haha). Her old blog is here, and her NEW blog is HERE. Of course, it looks fantastic and absolutely icon-riddled. :DD

Alright, srsly, GOODNIGHTPEOPLE! Sleep tight! And don't let the bed bugs bite! xD
